Abraham paid tithes to Melchisedec because God delivered his enemies into his hands. Praise God the Lord has given us all power over all the ways of the enemy. The Lord has given us power over the root of all-evil.
(1 Tim 6:10 KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Most people do not give because of greed and when they do give they hate to be responsible to give a specific amount that is required at a specific time. We see that the children of Israel got greedy in every way. God required, at the minimum, for them to give the best.
God set up an eternal order so that the work of the heavenly father could continue through the body. Everything that the body needs to feed upon is within the body or Son of God.
God made the Israelites collect a specific amount of Manna. He did this in order to prove them. God designed through the order of Melchisedec that there would always be meat on the table in the house of God.
(Mal 3:10 KJV) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Most people pay tithes believing that they will receive much more money. It is done out of love for the money, which is greed. God wanted Israel to give for the purpose of benefiting God’s work. It was for taking care of the men of God and the windows and orphans.
Tithing in the Old Testament was a type and shadow of the spiritual purpose and to meet the natural needs of the ministers. We know we are the storehouse and the Temple of God, which God lives in.
Paul knew the eternal order of tithing from the order of Melchisedec, as did all of the Apostles. These men knew the order of the eternal Priesthood. Tithing was not started under the law but by God through the order of Melchisedec. It was established through this order so that the word or meat of the Lord God would always remain in the temple on the table. God’s people must be fed. The flesh or word of the Lamb must be on the table for all to keep the spiritual Passover.
(1 Cor 9:13 KJV) Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
Everyone is not required to give anymore than anyone else. Ten percent across the board is the same amount for all. The ones that give unto the work of the Lord for the right reasons gain spiritual blessing beyond what they can comprehend.
Jesus stated render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto the Lord what belongs to the Lord. The order of the Priesthood has never changed. Godly saints that give in order for the Lord’s work to be done are to give it not grudgingly or out of necessity.
Necessity means because you have to. If you fill that you have to give then you are not given the 10% freely. If you give it to further the work of God because you love God then you are giving it freely.
Did you repent because God made you or because you wanted to? Did you repent grudgingly or out of necessity? I repented because I wanted to serve God. God wants nothing out of necessity. Do you want your wife’s love out of necessity? Or do you want her to love you out of a free will?
We are not to preach the word for the love of money. If we do it makes the money filthy in the eyes of God.
(1 Tim 3:3 KJV) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
(Titus 1:7 KJV) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
God ordained that tithes be given in the very beginning of the order of the Priesthood. From the spoils of what God has allowed us to take. God has made us rulers and kings over this world system. The work of the Kingdom of God will be supported by the ones that know the order of God's ways. The carnal order of the old man is spoiled by the order of the ways of God.
(1 Cor 9:14 KJV) Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Paul took wages from other churches so that he could do work in the Corinthian Church. The Corinthians were babes and Paul did not want to be a burden on them, but he did take from others so that the gospel could be preached unto them. What he preached unto them also was that men of God should live from the wages of the gospel.
(2 Cor 11:8 KJV) I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
Anyone that states that Paul did not take some wages or help from the brethren does not know the word of God. He also worked with his own hands and did not want to be a burden unto any. Paul still preached that it was ordained of God that a man of God that preached the word of God should live of the gospel.
(Phil 4:15 KJV) Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. (Phil 4:16 KJV) For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
I have had ignorant men claim that Paul took nothing from no one! This is not true and is false doctrine according to what has been written in the scripture. People of God want bread on the table of God in the Lord's house. Paul preach that the ones that preached the word or gospel of God should live from it because it was ordained of God.
Many overlooked that a man of God that preaches the word of God and is ordained of God has also been ordained by God to live from the gospel. This is his God given right.
The ones that do not believe in tithing do not know the order of the eternal Priesthood and do not believe that God ordained a way for his ministers to live.
If there is to be meat on the table of the storehouse then tithes should be paid by all. God has spoiled the enemy. Then the ones that want to give more let them give their offerings. God's people support God's work. It is a shame that many crooks deceive but if people would study the word, and know the truth, then they would know who is of the almighty living God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
