Physicians, Doctors, and Healing
There is no disease or infirmity that the Lord Jesus Christ cannot heal. Let us rightly divide the word of God through Godly wisdom. Dear saints please read this entire writing and may it be a medicine unto your soul.
(1 Pet 2:24 KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (1 Pet 2:25 KJV) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Jesus Christ has healed everyone of every spiritual disease that has accepted him by receiving him as his or her’ personal savior. Our Lord has returned them unto him and became the bishops of their souls. Most people only quote verse twenty-four.
I have had many that preach it is a sin to go to a doctor or to use drugs. There are many that preach that God will heal all diseases if one has enough faith and that we will prosper in worldly riches. According to the word of God this is not true.
(2 Cor 12:5 KJV) Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. (2 Cor 12:6 KJV) For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. (2 Cor 12:7 KJV) And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. (2 Cor 12:8 KJV) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (2 Cor 12:9 KJV) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Many men that are in the roles of leadership are not wise in the ways and the teachings of God. No matter if it is baptism, healing, communion, morals, knowledge, or wisdom a man must be learned in the natural order of creation and the natural patterns of God’s order.
(Rom 1:20 KJV) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Let us use the wisdom and ways of God that creation has taught us through nature. As God created the world through his word it is the same word that creates the New Creation.
There are many types of physicians. Many men that have preached against going to a doctor go to physicians other than medical doctors themselves. Most men over forty or fifty have been to eye physicians or to a dentist.
An Eye Doctor is one that specializes in the healing and in managing the health of the eyes. Many men that teach God has healed us and that if we can just claim healing then we are healed, but those men wear glasses or contacts.
A Dentist maintains the care of the teeth, and gums. Many men that I know that preach against doctors, wear glasses and have had teeth pulled or filled. Many have even had false teeth made because God did not restore their teeth. They wear false teeth in order to eat and this also is for the well being of their health.
These men also use Medicines, drugs or chemicals. Mouthwash contains alcohol and toothpaste is for the health of their teeth.
Toothpaste is a paste or gel dentifrice used to clean and improve the aesthetic appearance and health of teeth. Toothpaste use can promote good oral hygiene; it can aid in the removal of dental plaque and food from the teeth, it can aid in the elimination and/or masking of halitosis, and it can deliver active ingredients such as fluoride to prevent tooth and gums (Gingiva) disease.
Chemists make colognes, deodorants, and makeup. We do not pray for our body odor not to occur. We use soap as a cleanser and disinfectant to clean ourselves and for the health of our skin. We use hand creams to soften and to moisturize our skin for the health of our skin. Chap Stick and Lip Balm are used to maintain the health of our lips. How many pray to God to heal chapped lips instead of using Chap Stick?
We use laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, and many household products for the well being of our health. God has provided the natural ingredients of these things as a blessing to kill germs for the well being of our health. He has provided the basic ingredients by which we create medicines and products that kill germs and they are also a blessing from God.
Aloe is a natural drug used to treat burns and to protect the skin. Sunscreens protect us from sunburns and these are chemical mixtures.
How many never wash their hands or their body and pray that God will keep it clean? I tell the adults and the children that are in Christ’ body to use deodorants and wash so other people can stand to be around them. I tell my family to wash their hands after going to the bathroom. All of this is practicing medicine and is good hygiene.
There are employers that require physicals before they will hire you. Schools require physicals before children are allowed to play sports. Why do the ones that speak with such faith not have enough faith that God will allow the companies, schools, etc. to amend their policies for them?
God places natural chemicals in soil and in nature. Some typical chemical substances can be diamonds, gold, salt (sodium chloride) and sugar. The body needs chemicals salt, iron, calcium, etc. to exist. H2O is the chemical composition of water. We use water regularly. We need water to survive, so it is quite definitely a blessing.
These natural Blessings are basic to give us the opportunity to receive His Spiritual Blessings in time.
First the natural water must be drunk so that you can live long enough to be a partaker of the spiritual water or spirit of God. You must eat natural food in order to have the strength to preach and partake of the spiritual bread. Everything that is manifested in the spiritual kingdom is manifested in the natural creation first.
Jesus stated, (Luke 5:31 KJV) “And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.”
This verse applies in the natural realm and in the spiritual realm. In fact, we wouldn’t even comprehend the spiritual meaning if we weren’t blessed with natural physicians.
Jesus taught about a man being a physician to another.
(Luke 10:33 KJV) But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: an when he saw him, he had compassion on him, (Luke 10:34 KJV) And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
God has ordained all powers. But unfortunately men have changed God's order of things. Many preachers preach for filthy money and many doctors are in it for money only. Many drugs are bad and many abuse them. But many chemicals that God placed on the earth are for the benefit of man.
Drugs – The pharmacology Dictionary defines a drug as "a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being.
Paul believed in medicine when God did not heal in the natural. He played the part of a natural physician when he told Timothy to take wine for medicine.
(1 Tim 5:23 KJV) Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
Timothy had infirmities often according to Paul. Would one claim that Paul and Timothy did not have power and faith enough so that the taking of wine would not be a necessity concerning Timothy’s sickness?
God did not always heal in the natural.
(2 Tim 4:20 KJV) Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
Medicine is for the restoring of health. Laughter is even a medicine. Vitamins, a healthy diet, and etc. are all for the well being of the body. I believe any Medical Doctor will recommend a healthy diet and exercise for the health and benefit of the body. Would it not be wisdom to consult ones that have knowledge in areas that you lack in?
In the natural we have experts in many fields, Lawyers, Mechanics, Builders, Fishermen, and Medical Doctors. Who is not ignorant in many areas? My car has broken down and I prayed, “God let it start!” My car started and got me to where I was going but I sure took it to the mechanic as soon as I could.
Anything that restores health is a medicine physically or spiritually.
Brother if a child cuts him or herself and is bleeding I will apply pressure to stop the bleeding. If a man breaks a bone is there anyone that would not have it set so that it would heal properly?
God works in many ways. I know that a lot of people will not support ministries, “stating that if you have faith God will provide.” Dear saints I have never seen it literally rain money from heaven that is needed for expenses. If a man works in the gospel he has a right to live from the income of saints that support him.
God has placed men here that have different abilities and gifts to supply the needs of his people in the natural and in the spiritual.
I have doctored myself and done things to help heal my body. I have performed the Heimlich maneuver on a person in Israel that was choking. I did not stand there and pray that they did not choke to death. I became their physician by the knowledge that God gave me.
I use natural herbs and help others by telling them that Olive Leaf Extract will do certain things, olive oil is healthy, and fish oil, ginseng, and different teas help heal. These are all foods and drugs that God has given us. They are all good for medicine!
You do not have to hold a man made license to be ordained of God, neither does a mother or a father have to be a licensed doctor in order to be a physician unto their sick children or unto others that they love.
Aging is a terrible disease that kills many. But no one would think to say that God heals us to keep us from aging. Along with age comes disease. God in His mercy has provided us medical knowledge by which we can comfort and heal each other. By this, He hopes we know His Grace and Mercy in doing so.
Unfortunately many doctors and pastors both have become the final authority in their own eyes, even self deified as it were. Whether it is a doctor or a pastor, any man who leads others to believe that medicines, drugs and medical doctors are not ordained of God, are ignorant of God’s Gifts to mankind. For them, we should pray that God would enlighten them to the Gift’s He has given them, for us.
Where are the wise and the aged men among the saints that have learned God’s ways through observing his natural creation?
Dear saints I pray that this writing will bring healing to you. First unto your natural body by using good medicines that God has supplied. Then may you truly be healed of every spiritual infirmity by the stripes that he was beaten with!
