Qualifications of the Bishop’s, Deacons, and Wives

Order in the body of Jesus Christ is very important. There is a natural order and a spiritual, order. The spiritual order comes out of the natural order. This is the way that God ordained it. Out of love I endeavor to share the love and the wisdom of God’s natural and spiritual order with everyone. May this writing truly encourage and bless all that read it in every country.

(Rom 1:20 KJV) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

(Rom 2:14 KJV) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

(1 Cor 14:40 KJV) Let all things be done decently and in order.

Bishop - 1984. episkope, ep-is-kop-ay'; from G1980; inspection (for relief); by impl. superintendence; spec. the Chr. "episcopate":--the office of a "bishop", bishoprick, visitation.

Overseers - 1985. episkopos, ep-is'-kop-os; from G1909 and G4649 (in the sense of G1983); a superintendent, i.e. Chr. officer in gen. charge of a (or the) church (lit. or fig.):--bishop, overseer.

Stewards – 3623. oikonomos, oy-kon-om'-os; from G3624 and the base of G3551; a house-distributor (i.e. manager), or overseer, i.e. an employee in that capacity; by extens. a fiscal agent (treasurer); fig. a preacher (of the Gospel):--chamberlain, governor, steward.

Deacon - 1247. diakoneo, dee-ak-on-eh'-o; from G1249; to be an attendant, i.e. wait upon (menially or as a host, friend or [fig.] teacher); techn. to act as a Chr. deacon:--(ad-) minister (unto), serve, use the office of a deacon, pastor.

Apostle - 652. apostolos, ap-os'-tol-os; from G649; a delegate; spec. an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ ["apostle"] (with miraculous powers):--apostle, messenger, he that is sent.

Ambassador - 652. apostolos, ap-os'-tol-os; from G649; a delegate; spec. an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ ["apostle"] (with miraculous powers):--apostle, messenger, he that is sent. 4245. presbuteros, pres-boo'-ter-os; compar. of  presbus (elderly); older; as noun, a senior; spec. an Isr. Sanhedrist (also fig. member of the celestial council) or Chr. "presbyter":--elder (-est), old.

We can tell from the above definitions that Bishop, Overseer, Apostle, Steward, and Ambassador all pertain to the offices of the administrators.

The office of a deacon would be like the office of an assistant pastor, to teach, minister, and help the bishops with the body. Not just anyone is qualified to hold these offices.

There is a very high standard that not only pertains to the men that hold these offices but also high standards that pertain toward their wives and their children.

I believe that the order of these offices have been overlooked, as a whole, by congregations that follow unqualified bishops, and that have unqualified deacons. This article will deal stringently with the order of these offices.

Later in this article we will deal with the order of the fivefold ministry. We will state the qualifications for each and every office that God ordained for the perfection of the saints.

The next verse must first be enforced sternly. I have seen this verse overlooked many times.

(1 Tim 5:19 KJV) Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Bishops or elders:

(1 Tim 3:1 KJV) This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. (1 Tim 3:2 KJV) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.

First a bishop must desire a good work, which can only be what the heavenly father wants done in his kingdom.

1.    A bishop must be blameless, or above reproach of corruption, or immoral acts.

To be blameless means it should be impossible for anyone to prove any fault of the bishop upholding the ways of the word of God. A bishop must be a doer of the word of God not just a vain talker. It should not be possible for anyone to prove any dishonest or corrupt acts against a bishop.

No one can evade ungodly accusations but these accusations should not be able to be proven. A bishop is blameless or above reproach when his words and conduct conforms to the word of God.

2.    A bishop must not be a polygamist having multiple wives. If a man is divorced because his wife committed adultery and the Bishop is remarried he does not have more than one wife. If a woman is not pleased to stay with him and divorces him the bishop is not at fault.

3.    A bishop must be vigilant, watchful, alert, discreet, tactful, thoughtful, and one that shows consideration toward others.

4.    A bishop is to be sober-minded, temperate, clear-minded, show moderation, and self control. A bishop’s behavior should be Christ like and testify of the life of our Lord.

5.    A bishop must be given to hospitality, kindness, warmth, generosity, and make the saints fill welcome in and out of his home.

(1 Tim 3:3 KJV) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

6.    A bishop cannot be a drunkard, in the natural, or in the spiritual.

7.    A bishop cannot be a striker, quarrelsome or a troublemaker out of a carnal mind.

8.    A bishop must not make merchandise out of God’s people or want the office for material gain.

9. A bishop must be patient, enduring, tolerant, and long suffering with all saints.

10. A bishop must not be a brawler, faultfinder, or always fighting or quarrelsome, over

     Non-productive issues.

11. A bishop must not be covetous, envious, jealous, desirous, or greedy.

(1 Tim 3:4 KJV) One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity.

12. A bishop must Rule His House

In today’s body the actions and the moral values of the children of the bishop’s are a very overlooked issue. I do not believe that Peter would allow a child to talk back, be disobedient, and dress in enticing apparel that would feed the flesh of other youths. The higher the standards that are taught to the children the better off they are. No one can deny that the word of God teaches high standards of reserved dress. Some people get high morals and living under the law confused.

Many of the bishops and bishop’s wives look ungodly, wearing skimpy, insufficient, inadequate, and sparse apparel. It does not show wisdom by men and women that give an occasion to the flesh. These persons only lower the morals and the standards of our young people.

The bishops, deacons, or elders must be wise. High standards and morals give fewer occasions unto the flesh or carnal minds of others to be tempted.

The children of Bishop’s must be faithful or believers in Christ Jesus also.

(Titus 1:6 KJV) If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

A Bishop must have all children, living under his roof, under subjection. These children must obey him in his presence. All children will do things that their parents are not aware of. Any misbehavior by his children that is revealed unto a Bishop is to be dealt with and corrected by that Bishop.

(1 Tim 3:5 KJV) (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Bishop’s children must be obedient and show respect toward all of the saints while they are living under his roof. While they are under his roof, no matter the age, they must not be know to be fornicators, thieves, liars, and immoral persons. While a deacon or a bishop’s children are under his roof he must not support or make it easy for them to commit immoral acts.

A Bishop cannot allow anyone living under his roof to bring reproach upon the name of Jesus.

(1 Tim 3:6 KJV) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

13. A bishop cannot be a novice, greenhorn, trainee, apprentice, or a beginner. Any man that is not established in the faith and that is young, NEW CONVERT, will have pride and not have temperance. A bishop must be an established believer in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Tim 3:7 KJV) Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

14. A bishop must have a good report. Accusations will always come from Satan but the bishop must not be found guilty. If a bishop makes a mistake he must repent. Too many bishops commit adultery while claiming to be filled with the Holy Ghost.

If a Bishop does all of the things that God requires of him he will be revered, esteemed and considered a grave man. A bishop is to be obeyed in the order of God as scripture establishes.

(1    Tim 5:17 KJV) Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

(Heb 13:17 KJV) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Too many that hold offices do not have good credit, are not known as honest business men, known to be womanizers, and have very unfavorable reputations in their communities as being dishonorable. A Bishop cannot have the reputation of being a liar or an adulterer. He must be a man of his word in his community and on the job.

Remember accusations must be given in front of two or three witnesses when a bishop is accused.

(1 Tim 3:8 KJV) Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre.

Grave - 4576. sebomai, seb'-om-ahee; mid. of an appar. prim. verb; to revere, or reverence i.e. adore:--devout, religious, worship. 4586. semnos, sem-nos'; from G4576; venerable, i.e. honorable:--grave, honest.

“Grave, Revere, Respect, or Reverent”

1.    The deacons must be grave, men of faith, serious, honored among the saints, honest, and devout believers in Jesus Christ.

2.    A deacon cannot be double-tongued, a talebearer, a slander, a teller of different stories, evasive, unclear, or shifty in carrying out his office.

3.    A deacon must not be a drunkard in the natural or in the spiritual. A deacon cannot be a winebibber.

4.    A deacon cannot desire the office of a deacon for the purpose of material gain.

(1 Tim 3:9 KJV) Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

5.    A deacon must hold to the true faith with a pure and clean conscience.

6.    A deacon must have a good reputation among the brothers and be known to live a pure and a holy life. A deacon must not water down or mix the true word of God with false doctrine

Pure, Pureness, Purity: Greek: hagnos "pure from defilement, not contaminated" (from the same root as hagios, "holy"),signifies "unalloyed, pure;" used of unmixed substances.

(1 Tim 3:10 KJV) And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

7.    A deacon must first be proved. Let a deacon demonstrate his faithfulness unto Christ Jesus and the body of Christ before he is chosen to hold this office. A deacon should be knowledgeable in the word of God and be able to give wise counsel. Bishops and deacons must set very high moral standards.

(1 Tim 3:11 KJV) Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

We are going to do an entire section about the qualifications of the wives later in this writing.

(1 Tim 3:12 KJV) Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

A deacon must not be a polygamist having multiple wives. If a man is divorced because his wife committed adultery and the deacon is remarried he does not have more than one wife.

A deacon must have all children, living under his roof, under subjection. These children must obey him in his presence. All children will do things that their parents are not aware of. Any misbehavior by his children that is revealed unto a deacon is to be dealt with and corrected by the deacon.

Deacon’s children must be obedient and show respect toward all of the saints while they are living under his roof. While they are under his roof, no matter the age, they must not be know to be fornicators, thieves, liars, and immoral persons. While a deacon or a bishop’s children are under his roof he must not support or make it easy for them to commit immoral acts.

(1 Tim 3:13 KJV) For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

If a Deacon uses his office well there is no greater reward. A deacon must not allow any reason for Satan to take an occasion.

Wives of the Bishop’s and the Deacon’s

This section will deal strictly about the wives of the bishops and the deacons.

(1 Tim 3:11 KJV) Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

Amplified Bible:

(1 Tim 3:11) In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

The Amplified Bible states that the wives must be worthy of respect other versions use the word temperate instead of just the word grave. The King James is just as correct if you understand the definition of the word grave.

We will now record each of the four qualities that a wife of both bishops and deacons must have:

Grave - 4576. sebomai, seb'-om-ahee; mid. of an appar. prim. verb; to revere, or reverence i.e. adore:--devout, religious, worship. 4586. semnos, sem-nos'; from G4576; venerable, i.e. honorable:--grave, honest.

“Grave, Revere, Respect, or Reverent”

As a deacon is required to be grave or revered, in verse eight of Timothy, so must his wife be grave, devout toward the faith, and reverent. The wives must be worthy of respect and honor so that she is above reproach by the congregation. The wives must show dignity and honor toward the saints and toward their husbands. The wives must be serious about the things of God and the faith. It is important that the officer’s wives demand respect among the body.

No non-believing wife can be worthy of the respect of the saints without living for God. An unbelieving wife is simply found unworthy. If a wife is not esteemed because of unbelief and is not worthy of the respect and honor of the saints that man is not qualified to hold the office of a bishop or a deacon.

The saints of God should highly appreciate the wives of the bishops and deacons because of their labor in the Lord’s work. To be grave is to be worthy of esteem and honor. As the elders are esteemed so should their wives be esteemed.

Conclusions on “Grave or Reverent”:

1.    Bishop’s and deacons wives must be esteemed and honored because of their faith. The body of God must have people of faith, high morals and honor in the leadership roles.

2.    The wives of bishops and deacons must show love, hospitality, and sound faith unto the saints of God. The wives of the bishops and the deacons must display integrity and high character.

3.    If a wife does not meet these qualifications she disqualifies her husband from holding the office of a bishop or a deacon. The congregation should esteem, cherish, and exhort the wives of the bishops and deacons that labor among them.

“Not slanderers”

The devil is the accuser of the brethren! An officer’s wife should not be a devil.

(Rev 12:9 KJV) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

(Rev 12:10 KJV) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Satan - 4567. Satanas, sat-an-as'; of Chald. or. corresp. to G4566 (with the def. affix); the accuser, i.e. the devil:--Satan.

Slanderers - 1228. diabolos, dee-ab'-ol-os; from G1225; a traducer; spec. Satan [comp. H7854]:--false accuser, devil, slanderer.

Traducer - To cause humiliation; to disgrace; to make malicious and false statements.

Paul is stating that Satan is the accuser and that the bishops and deacons wives cannot allow the spirit of the Old Man to work through them. Many carry malicious lies in order to injure and destroy the reputation of the saints. The wives of bishops and deacons cannot carry malicious tales that will cause division and damage the reputations of the saints. Satan dwells strongly among the body of Jesus Christ because of talebearers and liars.

Remember how that Potiphar’s wife slandered Joseph.

(Gen 39:14 KJV) That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:

The bishop’s wives are to help him build up the Kingdom of God. They are not to destroy and consume the people of God.

Conclusions on “Slanderers”:

1.The wives of bishops and of the deacons cannot be a form of Satan at work in the body.

2. Every person including every woman and man should cultivate the quality of not being a slanderer, but especially the wives of ministers, elders, and deacons.

3. A man whose wife does slander other people disqualifies her husband from holding the office of an overseer or a deacon.

Bishops wives and the wives of deacons must be sober:

Paul is not using sober in Titus 2:2 to mean men must not be drunk on wine. Officers of the church are to be sober in thought and in their actions. A bishop or a deacon’s wife is to be clear or sober-minded also.

The bishops, deacons and their wives personality is about how that they think concerning the work of God. Paul also considers their behavior and morals as important issues. In Titus the elders and their wives are to be sober-minded. Paul is stating the same thing in Timothy about the requirements of the elders and their wives.

The Book of Titus confirms that the elder’s wives must be grave, women of faith, or must be revered and honored.

(Titus 2:2 KJV) That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

(Titus 2:3 KJV) The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (Titus 2:4 KJV) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, (Titus 2:5 KJV) To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

The wife of the overseers has to behave herself in a manner that shows holiness in their life. The officer’s wives are to be the teachers and examples unto the younger women of the church. Women please consider and meditate on the above verses.

Temperance is a fruit of the spirit that absolutely needs to be manifested in the elders and their wives.

As Paul states in the Book of Thessalonians we must be sober-minded so that we can watch and detect unrighteousness.

(1 Th 5:6 KJV) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

We are to be on guard, to watch, be sober-minded, be diligent in the faith, and pay attention and command that the order of God be honored in every area.

The elder men and women will be sober-minded if they gird up the loins of their minds.

(1 Pet 1:13 KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ

(Conclusions on “Sober, and Temperate.

1. The bishops or deacons and their wives must watch, and be alert. I have seen elder women sharp in the discerning of wolves among the saints.

2. The elder’s wife has to be an example unto the children and the saints of God in the body.

3. Stability, wisdom and discernment must dwell in the hearts of the officer’s and their wives.

 “Faithful in All Things”

Faithful - 4103. pistos, pis-tos'; from G3982; obj. trustworthy; subj. trustful;--believe (-ing, -r), faithful (-ly), sure, true.

The wife of a bishop must be of faith in all things or faithful in every respect. This is what the word of God states.

I know my wife to be faithful and she supports my ministry in everyway being free from the bondage of jealously. She does not compete for my affection between her and the saints.

The bishop’s wife and the deacon’s wife must be faithful in their marriage. The wife should be trusted to raise and counsel the children in the ways of God. She should be trusted not to allow her children to break the commandments of authority the husband has laid down unto the children.

The wife should be trusted not to repeat any matter that the husband has taken her into his confidence about. The wives should show hospitality toward all saints and be prudent in the ways of God and gracious toward all.

Young ministers your most important ministry is unto your wife and unto your children. Paul gave much wisdom when he ordained the order of the bishop’s, and the overseers of the Israel of God. Because this order and wisdom has been overlooked, as a whole, the church is in disarray or confusion.

Order for the offices of the fivefold ministry

(Eph 4:11 KJV) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (Eph 4:12 KJV) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Bishops, elders, and pastors are to:

(Acts 20:28 KJV) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

It is important that we understand what offices are required to be held by men and what roles that women are suppose to take part in.

Apostle - 652. apostolos, ap-os'-tol-os; from G649; a delegate; spec. an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ ["apostle"] (with miraculous powers):--apostle, messenger, he that is sent.

Notice that it states he that is sent. The definition does not state she that is sent.

Prophet – 5030. nabiy', naw-bee'; from H5012; A PROPHET or (gen.) INSPIRED MAN:--prophecy, that prophesy, prophet.

A prophet is a man and not a prophetess.

Evangelist - 2099. euaggelistes, yoo-ang-ghel-is-tace'; from G2097; a preacher of the gospel:--evangelist.

Just as a pastor, an elder, and a bishop all refer to the overseers in the church with specific qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7), (Titus 1:5-9), which we have already covered. Preachers or evangelists are expressly chosen by the Holy Ghost to hold this office with a specific powerful function in the church.

Some confuse the office of pastor with that of an evangelist or preacher. A pastor can preach but he is the overseer of the flock. An evangelist or preacher is ordained by the Holy Ghost to preach the gospel. Congregations can have several preachers or evangelists in it that are not ordained to be overseers because their families disqualifies them from holding these offices according to the Books of Timothy and Titus.

I believe an evangelist can be married or unmarried. Paul was an Apostle, evangelist, teacher, and a preacher but not married. An evangelist is a Holy Ghost filled preacher that preaches the word of God with power and truth.

Tim 2:7 KJV) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

Peter was married an Apostle, a preacher, teacher, and an overseer of the Israel of God in Jerusalem.

Preachers that are evangelists are not overseers (do not have any legislative authority) in the local congregation, as do the pastors and deacons. Evangelists are ordained by the Holy Ghost to speak the word of God with all authority.

(2 Tim 4:2 KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Evangelists or Preachers must speak the message boldly, with authority and power showing no respect of persons to anyone. They even have the authority to publicly rebuke any doctrine that is in error.

They cannot rebuke an elder by themselves but can rebuke them in public if the elder’s doctrine is false. This would be in front of two or three witnesses.

(1 Tim 5:19 KJV) Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. (1 Tim 5:20 KJV) Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. (1 Tim 5:21 KJV) I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

We must understand also the definition of what a preacher is according to the word in Hebrew. The definition of a preacher in Hebrew includes men and women.

Preacher - 6953. qoheleth, ko-heh'-leth; fem. of act. part. from H6950; a (female) assembler (i.e. lecturer); abstr. preaching (used as a "nom de plume", Koheleth):--preacher.

Nom de plume means a pen name several of the Apostles names were changed to other names. Paul’s name was changed from Saul.

Notice according to these definitions an evangelist can be male or female. If a Bishop allows a woman to speak then she is not taking authority over the man. It is through the man that she is given power to speak.

I believe that Aquila and Priscilla were a husband and wife team. They did the work of evangelists. It specifically states that both Aquila and Priscilla expounded or preached the word of God unto Apollos.

(Acts 18:26 KJV) And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

I have always believed that men and women have the right to preach or prophesy. I believe an evangelist can be married or single. I believe this applies to all of the offices.

Paul told Timothy to do the work of an Evangelist.

Timothy was told by Paul not to take authority or rebuke an elder without witnesses.

(1 Tim 5:1 KJV) Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren.

Remember an Elder is one that holds the office of a bishop or overseer. When preaching in public Timothy had all authority to preach sound doctrine before all.

(2 Tim 4:2 KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Phillip was a powerful evangelist, preacher, and deacon. Under Phillip’s ministry the Samaritans received Jesus Christ. Then Peter and John being Bishops went unto the Samaritans and set things in order.

(Acts 8:14 KJV) Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

The bishops or Apostles are memberS of the celestial OR HEAVENLY council that establishes order.

Prophetess - 4398. prophetis, prof-ay'-tis; fem. of G4396; a female foreteller or an inspired woman:--prophetess, an inspired speaker.

This definition falls under the same definition as a preacher. On the day of Pentecost women were inspired by the Holy Ghost and declared the wonderful works of God and his word. These women prophetesses that were Holy Ghost filled were preachers.

(Acts 2:11 KJV) Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

I do not believe that a woman can hold any other office than that of an evangelist, preacher, or prophetess. Women are very important for the perfection of the saints.

Pastor – 7462. ra'ah, raw-aw'; a prim. root; to tend a flock, i.e. pasture it; intrans. to graze (lit. or fig.); gen. to rule; by extens. to associate with (as a friend):-- X break, companion, keep company with, devour, eat up, evil entreat, feed, use as a friend, make friendship with, HERDMAN, keep [sheep] (-er), pastor, + shearing house, shepherd, wander, waste.

The word states a woman cannot hold the office of an overseer or rule over the man. A pastor is to look after a local congregation and to make sure that the flock is fed by him, evangelist, and other preachers.

Teacher – 995. biyn, bene; a prim. root; to separate mentally (or distinguish), i.e. (gen.) understand:--attend, consider, be cunning, diligently, direct, discern, eloquent, feel, inform, instruct, have intelligence, know, look well to, mark, perceive, be prudent, regard, (can) skill (-ful), teach, think, (cause, make to, get, give, have) understand (-ing), view, (deal) wise (-ly, MAN).

Men are in charge and women cannot have authority over the man to teach him. If a bishop or overseer gives the woman authority to preach or prophesy, under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, she once again is not taking authority over the man.

We know older women are ordained to teach the younger women. They are also to have authority over the children. Here again the things that they teach are for the perfecting of the saints.

I am sure that many will not recognize the natural order that God has ordained in the Israel of God. They will state in the spiritual order men and women are entitled to hold the same offices. The word of God disproves these teachings.

Some that teach only spiritual values neglect the teachings of high morals or high standards concerning the saints of God. They believe these things bring them back under the law. If this is true then Paul taught false values.

Many believe there is no difference between male and female in the eyes of God period. There is no difference between men and women concerning salvation, but in the order of the church offices, Paul makes it very plain in his teachings the order that the church is to keep.

Children need to know the difference in the roles in the family that a woman and a man should have. Because these values are not being taught to the children the families are being destroyed by carnal minds. The same destruction is happening unto the spiritual family and the Israel of God.
