Millennium Reign of Jesus Christ

In order to understand what I am fully saying about the Millennium Reign of Jesus Christ you must read this entire writing and pay attention to the symbolic terms that have been pointed out. I pray that revelation be imparted unto all.

There are several beliefs concerning the Millennium Reign. The Amillennialists believe that Jesus Christ will never have a Millennium Reign or any reign of any kind here on earth. There is no doubt in my mind that they are absolutely wrong in this belief. The futurist believes that this reign of Jesus is yet to come and that there will be an exact period of one thousand years that Jesus will reign from Jerusalem. I also reject this view because of the scriptures. I will share these scriptures in this writing.

When God became man and was manifested as Jesus Christ he literally became the king of the true Jews or ones of faith. He re-established another earthly kingdom with the remnant of Israel on the day of Pentecost, which would only consist of the children of faith. Jesus came himself unto his people and established an everlasting kingdom. All that belong to this kingdom have dominion over the kingdoms of the world and the lust of the flesh.

Part of the foundation, of the Kingdom of God, was laid in the Old Testament. The Holy Ghost that dwelled in the prophets laid this part of the foundation. The Old Covenant was the former rain and the latter rain was poured out on the day of Pentecost under the New Covenant when the Apostles, second part of the foundation, was laid and joined together by Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone.

Jesus Christ was anointed king and given dominion over all things in heaven and in earth when he was baptized and fulfilled all righteousness. Jesus was anointed king and the prophecy of the prophets was fulfilled when this event took place. (John 12:15 KJV) Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy KING COMETH, SITTING ON AN ASS'S COLT.

Jesus, the second Adam, was given dominion over everything that the first Adam had lost dominion over. Adam in the garden was King and only second to God and he ruled the whole known earth. (Gen 1:26 KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and OVER ALL THE EARTH, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Earth is flesh and what a tremendous blessing Jesus Christ has given us to rule and have dominion over the flesh or carnal mind. We are literally flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones. We are his blessed body and the one Son of God that rules over what the first Adam lost power over, which was his flesh. Because he lost power over the flesh he lost all power that had been given him in the garden.

Now we have been given back that dominion through Jesus Christ. (Luke 10:19 KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Genesis and the Book of Revelation go hand in hand. We must understand the depth of the Book of Genesis in order to understand the Book of Revelation. All of the word of God is spirit and life and testifies of Jesus Christ and the restoration of mankind or Adam through Christ.

I believe that the past, present, and future are important but reality is: I only have power to act upon what is confronting me now. The Apostles always taught that Jesus Christ ruled having all power over Satan in their day. The future salvation of the Jews was not preached but today, as it is now, has always been the day of salvation. What the word of God speaks to me in the present is all that matters for it is through the word of God that I come into the glorious presents of Christ Jesus.

Satan will flee from us but only if we use the power that we have now in Jesus against him. Jesus bound Satan and has already given me power to rule over the earth, my body, which God has given me. My body is the first possession that God is concerned about me ruling over through him. God has given me dominion over my house through his spirit. If I cannot rule my body, my house, an all that is in my house I have no business trying to rule over a congregation of believers.

The one thing that God told the first Adam not to do was to allow the desires of the flesh or his own spirit to govern him. It was the earth that Adam was made of that partook of the forbidden fruit. Adam lost control of his spirit through the lust of the flesh. All men have the five senses and the lust of the flesh in common and only through the spirit of God can we bring our bodies under subjection.

The only way that we will ever be restored back to the garden is by overcoming sin. Sin must be destroyed everyday in our lives by the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Ghost, which we are not waiting for. The Holy Ghost or Jesus Christ has already come unto us and we are reigning with Jesus. The temple was totally filled on the day of Pentecost and the Kingdoms of this world were smitten by the mighty power of God.

First let us see if the scriptures validate that we are to rule over sin in our flesh now?

1. (Rom 8:7 KJV) Because the CARNAL MIND IS ENIMITY AGAINST GOD: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

2. (Rom 6:12 KJV) LET NOT SIN THEREFORE REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL BODY, that ye should obey it in the LUSTS thereof.

3. (John 3:6 KJV) That which is BORN OF THE FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

4. (Rom 7:25 KJV) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the FLESH THE LAW OF SIN.

5. (Rom 8:5 KJV) For they THAT ARE AFTER THE FLESH DO MIND THE THINGS OF THE FLESH; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6. (Col 3:5 KJV) MORTIFY THEREFORE YOUR MEMBERS which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

7. (Rom 13:14 KJV) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and MAKE NOT PROVISION FOR THE FLESH, to FULFIL THE LUSTS THEREOF.

If Jesus has not come then who is it that lives within you and I? Does Jesus have a people here on earth that he rules over or not? Jesus stated he would not leave us comfortless but that he himself would come unto us. (John 14:18 KJV) I will not LEAVE YOU comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU.

Jesus has come and is to come. Jesus rules as King of Israel now and will always rule as King of kings in his kingdom, which at this point is here now upon this earth. The one Son of God, the church, rules now with King Jesus.

When we examine the symbolic language of the Book of Revelation it must be compared with the language used in the Old Testament. In the Book of Revelation chapter twenty we find this verse. (Rev 20:4 KJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and THEY LIVED AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS.

By studying the language of the prophets and how the term of a thousand was used we find it was used symbolical in the Old Testament also. I will give you a few verses as an example.

(Psa 68:17 KJV) The chariots of God ARE TWENTY THOUSAND, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

Does God really have only twenty thousand chariots? Anyone should realize that it is symbolic to God's great power.

(Psa 50:10 KJV) For every beast of the forest is mine, and THE CATTLE UPON A THOUSAND HILLS. Does God just own the cattle that are upon a thousand hills? Again there is no doubt that the thousand is symbolic of a great number.

(Psa 90:4 KJV) For a THOUSAND YEARS IN THY SIGHT are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. The term a thousand years is use again to represent a large number.

(Psa 84:10 KJV) For A DAY in thy courts is better than a THOUSAND. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Here again a small number is compared to a large number.

In the Book of Revelation there are several periods of time that are used symbolically such as the term one hour, and a half an hour. Men that are futurist and that are carnal minded try to make current events fit into the word of God. They are modern day Pharisees that believe God will use computer chips as the Mark of the Beast and that the False Prophet will call fire down from heaven by using satellites. It is sad that these blind guides that are the image of the beast have been given the power to speak. These associate today's technology with the Book of Revelation, which makes Revelation of no value for the ones that have preceded us for the last two thousand years.

Satan has already been bound and cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. Jesus took the keys to death, hell, and the grave. Jesus gave the keys to eternal life to Peter on the day of Pentecost and these keys were given unto all that will believe. (Heb 2:14 KJV) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he MIGHT DESTROY HIM THAT HAD THE POWER OF DEATH, THAT IS, THE DEVIL.

Jesus past judgment on the world in his day and that judgment still applies to the ones that disobey. (John 12:31 KJV) NOW IS THE JUDGMENT OF THIS WORLD: NOW SHALL the PRINCE OF THIS WORLD BE CAST OUT.

Man was in captivity to Satan but Satan was bound and the saints of God are set free. (Eph 4:8 KJV) Wherefore he saith, WHEN HE ASCENDED up on high, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts unto men. We were bound being in bondage to Satan but Satan, the old man, has been bound and we have all power over Satan through Jesus Christ. Jesus stated that he gave us all power over the powers of Satan

Satan's power comes through the carnal mind or flesh but the works of the flesh are destroyed through Jesus Christ. (1 John 3:8 KJV) He that COMMITTETH SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; for the DEVIL SINNETH from the beginning. For this PURPOSE THE SON OF GOD WAS MANIFESTED, that he MIGHT DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL. (1 John 3:9 KJV) Whosoever is BORN OF GOD DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for HIS SEED remaineth in him: and HE CANNOT SIN, because he is BORN OF GOD.

Before a strong man's house can be destroyed that man must be bound and the works of the flesh or old man are strong. When Satan is cast out and the Holy Ghost is given unto us Satan's habitation is destroyed and his house is spoiled. (Mat 12:28 KJV) But if I CAST OUT DEVILS BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, then the KINGDOM OF GOD is COME UNTO YOU. (Mat 12:29 KJV) Or else HOW CAN ONE ENTER INTO A STRONG MAN'S HOUSE, and SPOIL HIS GOODS, except he FIRST BIND the STRONG MAN? and THEN HE WILL SPOIL HIS HOUSE. (Mat 12:30 KJV) He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

I know the kingdom of God is here in the church and that we are reigning with Jesus Christ and that Satan is bound. Satan is bound by the name of Jesus and we have the signs of power over Satan because we have the power to bind him and cast him out of his house.

(Mark 16:17 KJV) And THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE; In my NAME SHALL THEY CAST OUT DEVILS; they shall speak with new tongues; (Mark 16:18 KJV) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

We have already been made kings and priests. This is not a future event but we hold these blessings now. (Rev 1:6 KJV) And HATH MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

We are sitting in heavenly places reigning now with Jesus. (Eph 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST: (Eph 1:20 KJV) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and SET HIM AT HIS OWN RIGHT HAND IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES, (Eph 2:6 KJV) And hath RAISED US UP TOGETHER, and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS.

Jesus has been reigning for thousands of years in the Kingdom of God, which is here on earth in the one Son of God. When the end of this earthly reign ceases then the one Son of God, Israel, or church will deliver up the completed kingdom of God and God will become all in all.

(1 Cor 15:24 KJV) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (1 Cor 15:25 KJV) FOR HE MUST REIGN TILL HE HATH PUT ALL ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET. (1 Cor 15:26 KJV) The LAST ENEMY THAT SHALL BE DESTROYED IS DEATH. (1 Cor 15:27 KJV) FOR HE HATH PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET. But when he saith ALL THINGS ARE PUT UNDER HIM, it is manifest that HE IS EXCEPTED, which did put all things under him. (1 Cor 15:28 KJV) And WHEN ALL THINGS SHALL BE SUBDUED UNTO HIM, then SHALL THE SON ALSO HIMSELF BE SUBJECT unto him that put all things under him, that God may BE ALL IN ALL.

Our heavenly father rules within us, which are his sons that make up the Son of God. There is one spirit of God that dwells in the one body, church, or Son of God. All power has been given to the Son of God over Satan. (Luke 10:19 KJV) Behold, I GIVE UNTO YOU POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

One Body and One Spirit:

(Eph 4:4 KJV) There is ONE BODY, and ONE SPIRIT, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.

We are born of the spirit of God having the same power over unclean spirits, illnesses, and Satan as did Jesus Christ when he walked upon this earth. Since the church in these last days has been taught that everything is to come they do not know that they are reigning through the restored power that has been given unto them. Most Apostolic people do not understand the sonship.

We, as the Son of God, carry the name of our heavenly father now. We take this name when we are raised or born again through baptism in Jesus name. We are filled with the same Holy Ghost or spirit of the father that filled the man Jesus Christ two thousand years ago. As joint heirs we have the same power through the same name being filled with the same spirit as Jesus was. (John 14:12 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO; because I go unto my Father.

The teachings of the futurist has weakened the body of Jesus because we have not been taught that we are reigning with Jesus, that we have the spirit of the father within us, and that all power has already been given to the ones of the kingdom of God that live in today. We no longer live after the flesh. We are one with God for the middle wall of partition has been removed.

The whole family in heaven and earth carries the name that is above all names. That name is the name of our father, which is Jesus. It is the name that has been written in the white bdellium stone in the Book of Revelation. I have been astounded to learn that some apostolic men claim not to known the name that has been written in the white stone. (Rev 2:17 KJV) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and WILL GIVE HIM A WHITE STONE, and in the STONE A NEW NAME WRITTEN, which NO MAN KNOWETH SAVING HE THAT RECEIVETH IT.

We receive this eternal name when we are baptized. This name is the name above all names and all power in heaven and earth is subject unto the name of Jesus. (Phil 2:10 KJV) That at the NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of things IN HEAVEN, and THINGS IN EARTH, and things under the earth.

We also know that no name to come will ever have more power. The name of Jesus will never be replaced. (Eph 1:21 KJV) Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED, not ONLY IN THIS WORLD, but ALSO IN THAT WHICH IS TO COME. Jesus is the supreme name that all powers are subject to and will always be subject to.

Let us now examine in detail what took place on the day of Pentecost. We know that the ones that accepted Jesus Christ on the day of Pentecost accepted Jesus Christ as king. Jesus came in the spirit on the day of Pentecost and filled the third temple of God.

I want to call your attention to the prophecies that Peter said were fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. He stated that these prophesies of Joel had taken place.

(Acts 2:16 KJV) But THIS IS THAT which was spoken by the prophet Joel. There is no doubt that in this verse that Peter is stating that the prophecy of Joel was being fulfilled.

(Acts 2:17 KJV) And it SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, saith God, I will POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH: and YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, and YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, and YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS.

1. It was the last days

2. The Spirit of God was poured out

3. Men and women that were filled with the Holy Ghost prophesied

4. That there would be visions and dreams = fulfilled in Acts

(Acts 10:10 KJV) And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, HE FELL INTO A TRANCE, (Acts 11:5 KJV) I was in the city of Joppa praying: and IN A TRANCE I SAW A VISION, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

Everything that Joel prophesied so far was fulfilled right there in Acts. The up coming prophesy in the following verse must also be explained.

(Acts 2:18 KJV) And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. Again this took place and it is easy to determine that they all prophesied on the day of Pentecost, men and women.

(Acts 2:19 KJV) And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. All of these signs were shown at Pentecost also. There were tongues like as of fire, sounds from heaven, and a great appearance of the power of God. When Jesus died and shed his blood the land was in darkness and a great earthquake took place. These were not accidental signs of nature but these were direct signs and wonders in heaven and earth from God. These signs fulfilled prophesy and Peter knew it. (Mat 27:45 KJV) Now from the sixth hour THERE WAS DARKNESS OVER ALL THE LAND unto the ninth hour.

It is harder to realize that the verse (Acts 2:20) has been fulfilled also concerning the sun, moon, and the stars. It is included in what Peter stated that Joel had prophesied. We will study this and use other verses from the Old Testament to show that this verse has most certainly been fulfilled. (Acts 2:20 KJV) The SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, and the MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THAT GREAT AND NOTABLE DAY OF THE LORD COME: (Acts 2:21 KJV) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

All prophets used symbolic language to express the depth of God's power in destruction and in his coming judgments. Words such as clouds, trees, horses, lions, fire, smoke, earthquakes, iron, gold, hills, mountains, sun, stars, moon and scorpions are just a few. All of these words and many others throughout the word of God are used symbolically. Anyone denying this does not know much about the Word of God.

Example:

(Isa 55:12 KJV) For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the HILLS SHALL BREAK FORTH before you INTO SINGING, and all the TREES OF THE FIELD SHALL CLAP THEIR HANDS. Everyone knows that hills do not actually sing and we know real trees do not actually clap their hands but the prophetic language is great, and the signified meaning is very inspiring.

In this example we will actually deal with some of the words that are used symbolically in the book of Acts.

Example:

(Gen 37:9 KJV) And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, THE SUN and THE MOON and the ELEVEN STARS made obeisance to me.

Many times, in the word of God, the sun, moon, and the stars refer to the governments of a country. In the above verse it deals with the power structure within this family that would become a nation. We will give verses below that will prove that the same symbolic language used in the Old Testament is used in the New Testament. The Apostles were familiar with the symbolic language used by the prophets. They also used the same signifying language in many places in their writings. Jesus being, a Jew did the very same thing.

(Mat 23:24 KJV) Ye blind guides, which STRAIN AT A GNAT, and SWALLOW A CAMEL. We all know that no one, in fact, swallowed a camel. Jesus however symbolically told the truth.

(Mat 12:34 KJV) O GENERATION OF VIPERS, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. No one can deny that these men were not from actual snakes but the point was well made and truthful.

(Mat 13:42 KJV) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Mat 13:43 KJV) Then shall the RIGHTEOUS SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Jesus uses what would be the greatest light that he could compare with the righteous and used it symbolically.

We will discover that the prophets used the same symbolic language used in the book of Acts in the Old Testament. When nations and kingdoms were prophesied to fall this language was used. (Acts 2:20 KJV) The SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, and the MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THAT GREAT AND NOTABLE DAY OF THE LORD COME: It states right after this verse that those that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved or delivered. These events are placed before this verse not after it. In verse twenty it also states before that day comes these things shall take place. (Acts 2:21 KJV) And it shall And it shall COME TO COME TO PASS, that WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.

Peter stated that before the day of the Lord could come the sun had to be darkened, and the moon turned into blood. We will address this verse and show that these terms are symbolic.

First example: The fall of Egypt

(Ezek 32:2 KJV) Son of man, TAKE UP A LAMENTATION FOR PHARAOH KING OF EGYPT, and say unto him, Thou art like a YOUNG LION OF THE NATIONS, and thou art AS A WHALE IN THE SEAS: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers. (Ezek 32:3 KJV) Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore SPREAD OUT MY NET over thee with a company of many people; and they shall BRING THEE UP IN MY NET. (Ezek 32:4 KJV) Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the FOWLS OF THE HEAVEN TO REMAIN UPON THEE, and I will FILL THE BEASTS OF THE WHOLE EARTH WITH THEE. (Ezek 32:5 KJV) And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and FILL THE VALLEYS WITH THY HEIGHT. (Ezek 32:6 KJV) I will also WATER WITH THY BLOOD THE LAND wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the RIVERS SHALL BE FULL OF THEE. (Ezek 32:7 KJV) And when I SHALL PUT THEE OUT, I WILL COVER THE HEAVEN, and MAKE THE STARS THEREOF DARK; I will COVER THE SUN WITH A CLOUD, and the MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT. (Ezek 32:8 KJV) All the BRIGHT LIGHTS OF HEAVEN WILL I MAKE DARK OVER THEE, and SET DARKNESS UPON THY LAND, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezek 32:9 KJV) I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known. (Ezek 32:10 KJV) Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they SHALL TREMBLE AT EVERY MOMENT, every man for his own life, IN THE DAY OF THY FALL. (Ezek 32:11 KJV) For thus saith the Lord GOD; The SWORD OF THE KING OF BABYLON SHALL COME UPON THEE.

No one can deny that there is a tremendous use of symbolic language used in this prophecy against the destruction of Egypt. All of these words are used symbolically, young lion, whale, net, stars, sun, etc. Not even the futurist can deny that these terms here are used to signify events. To say that these terms are meant literally would totally miss the mark. Still the prophesy of Egypt's government falling among the nations came to pass. Babylon over came Egypt and ruled them.

Second example: The destruction of Babylon

(Isa 13:9 KJV) Behold, the DAY OF THE LORD COMETH, CRUEL BOTH WITH WRATH and FIERCE ANGER, to LAY THE LAND DESOLATE: and he shall DESTROY THE SINNERS THEREOF OUT OF IT. (Isa 13:10 KJV) For the STARS OF HEAVEN and the CONSTELLATIONS THEREOF SHALL NOT GIVE THEIR LIGHT: the SUN SHALL BE DARKENED IN HIS GOING FORTH, and the MOON SHALL NOT CAUSE HER LIGHT TO SHINE. (Isa 13:11 KJV) And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. (Isa 13:12 KJV) I will MAKE A MAN MORE PRECIOUS THAN FINE GOLD; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. (Isa 13:13 KJV) Therefore I will SHAKE THE HEAVENS, and the EARTH SHALL REMOVE OUT OF HER PLACE, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (Isa 13:14 KJV) And it shall be as the CHASED ROE, and as a SHEEP THAT NO MAN TAKETH UP: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. (Isa 13:15 KJV) Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. (Isa 13:16 KJV) Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. (Isa 13:17 KJV) Behold, I will stir up the MEDES AGAINST THEM, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. (Isa 13:18 KJV) Their BOWS ALSO SHALL DASH the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. (Isa 13:19 KJV) And BABYLON, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, SHALL BE AS WHEN GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH. (Isa 13:20 KJV) It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the SHEPHERDS MAKE THEIR FOLD THERE. (Isa 13:21 KJV) But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. (Isa 13:22 KJV) And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and HER DAYS SHALL NOT BE PROLONGED.

No one can deny that there are many symbolic terms used in the prophecy concerning the destruction of Babylon. The day of the Lord is stated as a day of wrath against Babylon. The sinners are to be destroyed out of the land and the government will fall.

We know when the four nations that are listed in the image in Daniel are smitten that the Kingdom of God smites them. We know that the spiritual Kingdom of God was completely established by the latter rain on the day of Pentecost. We will see that the prophecy of Joel deals with the forces that came forth from Mount Zion. We will deal directly with Joel's prophecy and comment and highlight the verses that I want to specifically explain.

(Joel 2:28 KJV) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH; and YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHETRS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS, your YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS: (Joel 2:29 KJV) And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids IN THOSE DAYS WILL I POUR OUT MY SPIRIT. (Joel 2:30 KJV) And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

We have already explained these verses so I will start here with the next verse. The futurists do not contest all of the above verses. However none of the Pentecostal people, whom I know of, teach that everyone that was filled with the Holy Ghost, on the day of Pentecost, prophesied.

(Joel 2:31 KJV) The SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKENES, and THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT and the TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD come. Pay close attention that it states before the great and terrible day of the Lord some things will take place with the sun and the moon. When the day of the Lord came upon Egypt and upon Babylon it was a day of wrath. It was stated by the prophets that the sun and the moon would be darkened and the stars would fall also.

In the book of Daniel we know that the total destruction of Jerusalem would take seventy years. This is told by this verse: (Dan 9:2 KJV) In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD CAME TO JEREMIAH THE PROPHET, that he would ACCOMPLISH SEVENTY YEARS IN THE DESOLATIONS OF JERUSALEM.

The great and terrible day of the Lord, which was wrath against carnal Jerusalem, took place seventy years after the death of Jesus Christ. The same prophecy and the same symbolic terms were used in prophecy against Egypt, Babylon, and Jerusalem.

(Joel 2:32 KJV) And it SHALL COME TO PASS, that WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE DELIVERED: for in MOUNT ZION AND IN JERUSALEM SHALL BE DELIVERANCE, as the LORD hath said, and IN THE REMNANT whom the LORD SHALL CALL.

On the day of Pentecost Peter preached the message, in the above verse, to the remnant of Israel. They were in Jerusalem located in the upper room, which is located on Mount Zion. The remnant was delivered from the day of destruction that came upon the evil ones and the ones that did not listen to the warning of Jesus. The righteous is safe and delivered in Jesus Christ whether we live or whether we leave these mortal bodies. We are truly winners either way.

On the day of Pentecost great wrath was taken against the powers of the gentile or flesh. Great wrath was taken against the powers of the old man or first Adam. Captivity was taken captive and the powers of Satan were cast down. Men received circumcision of the heart and the powers of the Kingdoms of this world fell by the power of the Holy Ghost.

The circumcision of the Jews had become un-circumcision and there was great evil in Israel. The day of the Lord always destroys the flesh but brings salvation and deliverance to the ones that are flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones. The unclean and the uncircumcised of heart received the cutting away of the flesh, old man, on the day of Pentecost. They were all given a new heart after the spirit of God.

Now the old man or Kingdoms of this world are bound and we have been power over the gentile. The unclean or uncircumcised no longer have power over us but have been placed under our feet. The great unclean strong man, Goliath the uncircumcised giant, has been defeated. The sword of God stuck him down.

(Joel 3:1 KJV) For, behold, IN THOSE DAYS, and in THAT TIME, when I shall bring AGAIN THE CAPTIVITY OF JUDAH and JERUSALEM. Within the seventy-year period or those days God brought Israel back into captivity. These last days for Israel started on the day of Pentecost and the Day of Judgment, Day of the Lord, or day of wrath for that nation took place seventy years later. The day of the Lord against Egypt was even called the time of the heathen or gentiles. (Ezek 30:3 KJV) For the day is near, even the DAY OF THE LORD is near, a CLOUDY DAY; it shall be the TIME OF THE HEATHEN.

It goes ahead to describe what will happen to Egypt. (Ezek 30:4 KJV) And the SWORD SHALL COME UPON EGYPT, and GREAT PAIN SHALL BE IN ETHIOPIA, when the SLAIN SHALL FALL IN EGYPT, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

The fact that the same language is used in all of these situations must not be overlooked. The ones that do not understand the oracles of God and the prophets have overlooked this fact. There are too many prophesying out of their own spirit. These do not know what is signified in the scriptures because it is an unknown tongue to them.

(Joel 3:2 KJV) I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Israel had already been scattered into all nations by the day of Pentecost. There were devout Jews from all nations attending the feast when Peter spoke. (Acts 2:5 KJV) And there were DWELLING AT JERUSALEM JEWS, DEVOUT MEN, OUT OF EVERY NATION UNDER HEAVEN. (Joel 3:10 KJV) Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. (Joel 3:11 KJV) Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy MIGHTY ONES TO COME DOWN, O LORD. (Joel 3:12 KJV) Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for THERE WILL I SIT TO JUDGE all the heathen round about. (Joel 3:13 KJV) Put YE IN THE SICKLE, for the HARVEST IS RIPE: come, get you down; for the PRESS IS FULL, the VATS OVERFLOW; for their WICKEDNESS IS GREAT.

Jesus stated the world was judged then and that Satan was cast down. Joel asked the Lord to come and judge on this day of Pentecost that he was prophesying about. He also stated the harvest would be ready. (John 12:31 KJV) NOW IS THE JUDGMENT OF THIS WORLD: NOW SHALL the PRINCE OF THIS WORLD BE CAST OUT.

Let us now study the teachings of Jesus. Jesus stated that the harvest was ripe but the labors were few. Jesus uses the same words as Joel used in explaining scripture to the disciples. (Luke 10:2 KJV) Therefore said he unto them, THE HARVEST TRULY IS GREAT, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the LORD OF THE HARVEST, that he would SEND FORTH LABOURERS INTO HIS HARVEST.

Compare:

(Joel 3:13 KJV) Put YE IN THE SICKLE, for THE HARVEST IS RIPE: come, get you down; for the PRESS IS FULL, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

Compare now these verses in Revelation with what Joel stated in his prophecy. The visionary language is symbolic in both books. There is no doubt that the Lord of the harvest sent the Jews from Pentecost into all of the nations under the sun as laborers to other Jews. There have been an untold number of Jews saved throughout the world. There was a great harvest that started at Pentecost and some laborers are still harvesting with drawn swords today.

(Rev 14:14 KJV) And I looked, and behold a WHITE CLOUD, and upon THE CLOUD ONE SAT like unto the SON OF MAN, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a SHARP SICKLE. (Rev 14: 15 KJV) And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, THRUST IN THY SICKLE, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the HARVEST OF THE EARTH IS RIPE. (Rev 14:16 KJV) And HE THAT SAT ON THE CLOUD THRUST IN HIS SICKLE on the earth; and the EARTH WAS REAPED. (Rev 14:17 KJV) And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a SHARP SICKLE. (Rev 14:18 KJV) And another angel came out from the altar, which HAD POWER OVER FIRE; and cried with a loud cry TO HIM that had the SHARP SICKLE, saying, THRUST IN THY SHARP SICKLE, and gather the CLUSTERS of the VINE OF THE EARTH; for HER GRAPES ARE FULLY RIPE. (Rev 14:19 KJV) And the ANGEL THRUST IN HIS SICKLE into the earth, and GATHERED THE VINE OF THE EARTH, and cast it into the GREAT WINEPRESS of the WRATH OF GOD.

I believe there were many on the day of Pentecost that became familiar with the prophesies of Joel. They had a choice on that day as to whom they would choose. There were three thousand that accepted Jesus as Messiah on the day of Pentecost. Then there was an untold number of Jews that were saved throughout Israel and the world. Before the day of wrath or the day of the Lord came upon Jerusalem, in 70 A.D., great multitudes of Jews had accepted Jesus as Messiah. No one can deny this fact. Neither can anyone deny that the same prophetic language was used to prophesy the destruction of Egypt, and Babylon.

(Joel 3:14 KJV) MULTITUDES, MULTITUDES in the VALLEY OF DECISION: for the day of the LORD IS NEAR IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION.

In the statements of Peter, the prophesy of Joel was quoted as being, “this is that," which was prophesied by the prophet Joel. (Acts 2:16 KJV) But THIS IS THAT WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY THE PROPHET JOEL. There is a fact that I want to point out. The futurists just want to look at the verses that they want to and they do not address all of the verses. Most of them also dismiss the fact that Joel placed priority toward prophesy and not toward the other tongues or known languages that they spoke in on the day of Pentecost. Everyone that spoke in other tongues prophesied in other languages telling about the great works of God. There has never been a time in the history of the church were that the church was edified more than on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:11 KJV) Cretes and Arabians, WE DO HEAR THEM SPEAK IN OUR TONGUES the WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD.

I do not believe anyone can belong to any denomination and preach the full truth about what took place at Pentecost. The price is too high and the traditions of men are too strong with most men. Non-the-less I thank God for what truth is seen by the few chosen of God and I believe these truths will continue to be shown to men that will receive it.

(Joel 3:15 KJV) The SUN AND THE MOON SHALL BE DARKENED, and the STARS SHALL WITHDRAW THEIR SHINING. This is the same symbolic language used in the books of Isaiah and Ezekiel concerning the destruction of Egypt and Babylon.

(Joel 3:16 KJV) The LORD also SHALL ROAR OUT OF ZION, and UTTER HIS VOICE FROM JERUSALEM; and the HEAVENS and the EARTH SHALL SHAKE: but the LORD will BE THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE, and the STRENGTH OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.

The Lion of the tribe of Judea never roared any louder out of Zion than he did on the day of Pentecost. The third temple of God was filled on the day of Pentecost and then the word of God, through the New Covenant, was first preached at Jerusalem and then went unto the utter most parts of the world.

The heavens and the earth were shaken by the death of Jesus. There was darkness and there was an earthquake factually. (Mat 28:2 KJV) And, behold, THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE: for the angel of the Lord DESCENDED FROM HEAVEN, and came and ROLLED BACK THE STONE FROM THE DOOR, and sat upon it.

(Joel 3:17 KJV) So SHALL YE KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD your GOD DWELLING IN ZION, MY HOLY MOUNTAIN: then SHALL JERUSALEM BE HOLY, and there SHALL NO STRANGERS PASS THROUGH her any more.

From the events of Pentecost and the infilling of the third temple with the Holy Ghost the Kingdom of God smote the image that was in Daniel. (Dan 2:45 KJV) Forasmuch as thou sawest that the STONE WAS CUT OUT OF THE MOUNTAIN WITHOUT HANDS, and that IT BRAKE IN PIECES THE IRON, the BRASS, the CLAY, the SILVER, and the GOLD; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

On the day of Pentecost this stone came forth from the Holy Mountain, which was the Kingdom of God. Jesus Messiah, the Son of God, took the throne and we his body being one with Jesus reign with him. All power has been given to us over all powers of the enemy and over all powers of the kingdoms of this world.

After explaining the prophetic language of the prophets and understanding the symbolic language, we should now be able to understand what Peter is talking about in 2 Peter. Peter is talking about the Millennium Reign. I know that I now see this writing in a completely new light. Let us now examine what Peter is teaching.

(2 Pet 3:8 KJV) But, beloved, BE NOT IGNORANT OF THIS ONE THING, that ONE DAY IS WITH THE LORD AS A THOUSAND YEARS, and a THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY.

Peter is talking to Jews and we have already determined the prophetic symbolic language used by all of the Jewish prophets. Peter was a Jewish prophet and therefore would continue to speak in the same manner as all Jewish prophets. The pattern remained the same in the word of God there being no difference in the pattern of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

(2 Pet 3:9 KJV) The Lord is NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISE, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.

Some that was looking for the coming of the Lord thought that God was being slack. In fact we must admit the Jews, as a whole, had missed his coming. The futurists, excluding the thousand year period, are teaching the same things that the carnal Jews believed about the coming of the Messiah. They believed as Solomon had ruled the earthly Israel so would the Messiah's throne be in earthly Jerusalem.

The futurists teach Jesus will rule from Jerusalem by sitting upon a literal throne for a thousand years. The doctrine of the Pharisees was the very same doctrine that is being taught today by the futurist.

Jesus however taught that the Kingdom of God did not come through observation. (Luke 17:20 KJV) And when he was DEMANDED OF THE PHARISEES, WHEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD SHOULD COME, he answered them and said, The KINGDOM OF GOD COMETH NOT WITH OBSERVATION.

The Pharisees not only missed the coming of the Messiah but they also missed the coming of the Kingdom of God. Now we have the same carnal way of thinking being preached today. We have not been taught what we have but what we will have when the Kingdom of God comes during the Millennium Reign.

Jesus taught that in order for the house of Satan, to be spoiled, first the strong man had to be bound. He also taught that since the Kingdom of God would come as a thief in the night that carnal observance would do no good.

Because the futurist try to observe his coming through current events and modern day technology they are fooled into believing that the earthly reign of Jesus is for a later period of time. These men are still trying to observe his coming through their own understanding. These men do not discern that the Kingdom is here and that we sit and rule with God now over sin. I still am just beginning to see the depth of the power that we already have. The true saints of God spiritually discern these things.

(1 Cor 2:12 KJV) Now we HAVE RECEIVED, NOT the SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, but the SPIRIT WHICH IS OF GOD; that we MIGHT KNOW THE THINGS THAT ARE FREELY GIVEN TO US OF GOD. (1 Cor 2:13 KJV) Which things also we speak, NOT IN THE WORDS WHICH MAN'S WISDOM TEACHETH, but which the HOLY GHOST TEACHETH; comparing SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH SPIRITUAL. (1 Cor 2:14 KJV) But the NATURAL MAN RECEIVETH NOT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD: for THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS UNTO HIM: NEITHER CAN HE KNOW THEM, because THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED.

Satan in my life was bound and cast out in an un-expectant time to him. Carnal minded men never see or ever will see the day of the Lord or the day of wrath coming. They are absolutely blind as to when the day of the gentiles or consuming of the flesh will occur. The day of wrath to the carnal minded is the day of salvation for the saints.

As it was on the day of Pentecost it was in my life because the kingdoms of this world fell. There was the fire of the Holy Ghost and wonders in heaven. Satan, as light or the sun was darkened, the moon, woman or the flesh was revealed as being bloody and unclean, my works of the flesh were burned up or destroyed. God remembers my works that were done by the flesh no more.

(2 Pet 3:10 KJV) But the DAY OF THE LORD will COME AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT; in the WHICH THE HEAVENS SHALL PASS AWAY WITH A GREAT NOISE, and the ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT, the EARTH ALSO AND THE WORKS THAT ARE THEREIN SHALL BE BURNED UP. (2 Pet 3:11 KJV) Seeing then that ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE DISSOLVED, what MANNER OF PERSONS OUGHT YE TO BE IN ALL HOLY CONVERSATION and GODLINESS.

Since the old man and all of his ungodly works were destroyed what kind of a man should I now be. I am ruling with Jesus and have been given all power over the works of the flesh. I must now endure to the end of my natural life.

(2 Pet 3:12 KJV) LOOKING FOR AND HASTING UNTO THE COMING OF THE DAY OF GOD, wherein the HEAVENS BEING ON FIRE SHALL BE DISSOLVED, and the ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT? (2 Pet 3:13 KJV) Nevertheless we, ACCORDING TO HIS PROMISE, look for NEW HEAVENS and a NEW EARTH, wherein DWELLETH RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Jesus finished all things and has ascended unto the throne having all power and rules as King of kings. I am sitting in heavenly places ruling with him now. We are a new creation, the new earth, and New Jerusalem that is being completed. We dwell within this world but we are not part of this world. We are a separated people onto the Lord Jesus Christ. We are the Kingdom of God here on earth right now that is ruling with Jesus. When the last members of the Son of God is brought forth everything will be delivered up unto the father by us, the completed Son of God and God will become all in all.

The day of the Lord is a day of wrath against any gentile. When the day of the Lord came unto me the old man was destroyed by my God, the all-consuming fire. The works of the flesh were burned up and forgotten. The futurist that have taught that the time of the gentiles is a time of salvation for them have taught just the opposite of what the word of God teaches. The day of the heathen is a cloudy day or day of darkness for the gentiles. (Ezek 30:3 KJV) For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a CLOUDY DAY; it shall be the TIME OF THE HEATHEN.

The nation of Rome infiltrated the true Christian faith because Christianity was destroying their nation. The time of the gentiles was determined against Egypt, Babylon, Sodom, Gomorrah, Jerusalem, Rome, and me.

The day of wrath against Sodom and Gomorrah was a day of deliverance for Lot. It states that Lot was righteous and God delivered him. But unto the unclean and the evil ones it was a day of wrath. (2 Pet 2:7 KJV) And DELIVERED JUST LOT, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

The brute beast or gentiles that are in the outer court of the temple have never entered into the Kingdom of God. These men will see the time of the heathen, day of the Lord, or time of the gentile come upon them. They to will cry for the rocks of the mountains to fall on them.

Praise God! We are living and reigning with Jesus today!

(Luke 19:27 KJV) But those MINE ENEMIES, which WOULD NOT THAT I SHOULD REIGN OVER THEM, BRING HITHER, and SLAY THEM BEFORE ME.
